I have just moved into a property with
a pool/spa pool.
It is important to mention that a pool owner/caretaker
has certain responsibilities in maintaining their pool/spa pool.
Safety is a primary consideration and every pool/spa pool should
be adequately fenced to prevent accidents. You should also endeavor
to keep the water in top condition by regularly testing as this
maximises enjoyment of the pool/ spa pool users.
Regular Testing.
As a pool/ spa pool owner the quality and
condition of the pool is a reflection on you. People enjoy a clean
and well conditioned pool/ spa pool a lot more than one that has
not been properly maintained. Correct maintenance of the water in
a pool/spa pool should be straight forward if you you test the water
regularly. Water testing should be performed once a week. If you
perform testing regularly then you should be able to prevent a small
problem becoming a large one. There are several conditions that
should be tested and these include Water pH, water hardness, chlorine
and bromine levels, total alkalinity, cyanuric acid and salt levels.
The easiest way to test the condition of your pool/spa pools water
is to let the staff at Poolquip do it for you. Our comprehensive
testing procedure will ensure that your water remains in top condition.
All you need to do is bring in approximately 500mls of water form
your pool. Poolquip has sample bottles suitable for this purpose
available free of charge to pool owners. Try to take the sample
as close to when the tests are to be performed to ensure accuracy
of the reading. You may wish to test your own water. If so you will
find that Poolquip has an extensive range of test kits making testing
for any condition easy. To view these test kits [click here].
Fences and Gates
In Australia pools and spa pools must be
protected from unsupervised access. These means adequately fenced
with a secure child proof gate. Safety standards do vary depending
on where in Australia the pool/spa pool is located To review the
pool safety standards for Tasmania [click here].
I am considering installing a pool/spa
pool.
If you are thinking about purchasing a pool
or spa pool you will need to consider several things.
Pool
The space that you have available for the
pool as well as all fittings.
The purposes for which the pool will be used.
For example a pool for relaxation will vary from a pool designed
for fitness.
The running costs associated with any features
you may choose.
Spa
How many people will want to use the spa
at the same time.
Which type of seating positions you require
and how many.
The intended use for the spa such as, theraputic,
entertainment, recreation etc.
The staff at Poolquip are trained to assist
you in answering these questions and more when you decide to purchase
a pool or spa pool and it is their aim to provide you with the most
suitable solution for you requirements.
